What is RSS?

  • RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication
  • RSS defines an easy way to share and view headlines and content
  • RSS files can be automatically updated
  • RSS is written in XML

Why use RSS?

RSS allows you to receive the information you choose without having to go out and search for it. A good analogy is a Newspaper, if you are interested in what the newspaper is writing about, you subscribe and the paper comes to your door. The same holds true for RSS, once you?ve subscribed to the Destination Oceans RSS, you will have the convenience of receiving the most current specials and cruise packages as they become available.

How do I use RSS

RSS distribution depends on an aggregator. An aggregator can be many things, it can be another web page, such as Google Personalized Home or My MSN, it can also be a desktop application such as News Gator or FeedReader and many more. Once you've chosen which reader you wish to utilize follow their instructions which will need the URL to the RSS feed.

Destination Oceans wants to make your news syndication as easy as possible. We have created a central location for all of our syndicatable content. Use the RSS Icons to guide you to the information that you want. Click on them to get the address to the XML data.
The URL in your address bar is what you'll want to paste into your reader. Alternatively you can also use the personalized home page buttons to import the feed directly into your personal homepage. If you're using Internet Explorer 7 or Firefox 2.0 you'll see a well formatted list of links, if this is the case you can subscribe using the browser. Please visit our Feed Center
